Cryogun Therapy Pre & Post Care Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the best results and a safe treatment experience with Cryogun Therapy, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines:

  • Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for at least 24 hours prior to your session.
  • Discontinue the use of any topical creams, lotions, or active skincare products (such as retinoids, AHAs/BHAs) 24-48 hours before your appointment.
  • Stay hydrated leading up to your treatment, as proper hydration helps optimize skin health.
  • Avoid waxing, plucking, or any other hair removal methods on the treatment area 5-7 days before treatment. Shaving is acceptable.
  • Do not apply makeup on the treatment area the day of your session. Arrive with clean skin.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any medical conditions, please inform your provider before undergoing Cryogun therapy.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

After your Cryogun Therapy session, follow these instructions to ensure the best possible results and minimize side effects:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 24-48 hours post-treatment. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ or higher daily to protect the treated area.
  • Do not apply harsh skincare products (e.g., AHAs, retinoids, or exfoliants) to the treated area for 48 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid heat treatments such as hot showers, saunas, or hot tubs for 24-48 hours after your session to prevent irritation.
  • Avoid intense physical activity or sweating for at least 24-48 hours to allow the skin to fully recover.
  • Mild redness or sensitivity at the treatment area is normal and should subside within 24-48 hours.
  • Darkening, blistering, and changes to the affected area is normal. Do not pick or peel off any skin during this time as it can disrupt the skin cycle and regeneration. Please use sunscreen on new skin, it is normal for it to appear lighter than older skin that was not treated.
  • Moisturize the treated area with a gentle, hydrating product to help soothe the skin.
