Dermal Filler Pre & Post Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the best results and minimize any risks, please follow these guidelines before your dermal filler appointment:

Avoid blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, alcohol) for at least 3-5 days before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
Stay hydrated leading up to your appointment, as hydrated skin responds better to treatment.
Avoid waxing, shaving, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area 24-48 hours prior to the procedure.
Avoid facial treatments, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments for at least 1 week before your filler treatment.
Inform us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any active skin conditions (such as cold sores or eczema) in the area being treated.
No Botox or other injectables at least 2 weeks before the filler treatment.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

After your dermal filler treatment, following the correct aftercare is crucial for optimal results:

Do not massage, rub, or touch the treated area for at least 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause excessive sweating for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
No hot tubs, saunas, or excessive sun exposure for 2-3 days to avoid irritation or bruising.
Apply a cold compress to any areas of swelling or bruising to minimize discomfort.
Bruising and swelling are normal and should subside within 2-5 days.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment, as it may increase the risk of bruising & swelling.
Makeup may be applied after 24 hours, but ensure the treated area is clean and free of irritation.

When to Expect Results: Results will be visible immediately, but the full effects of the filler will settle over the next 1-2 weeks.
