Dermaplaning Pre & Post Care Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the best results and a smooth treatment, please follow these guidelines before your dermaplaning session:

Avoid sun exposure & tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 5-7 days before treatment.
Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, AHAs/BHAs, and acne medications for 3-5 days before treatment.
Do not wax, shave, or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least 7 days before your session.
Stay hydrated and maintain a gentle skincare routine leading up to your appointment.
Let us know if you have a history of cold sores, acne breakouts, or sensitive skin.
Avoid Botox, fillers, or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks before your dermaplaning session.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Your skin will be extra sensitive after dermaplaning. Follow these steps to protect and enhance your results:

Avoid touching, rubbing, or exfoliating the skin for at least 24 hours.
No active skincare ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or scrubs) for 3-5 days post-treatment.
Avoid excessive heat, sweating, saunas, and hot tubs for 24-48 hours to prevent irritation.
No makeup for at least 24 hours to allow the skin to breathe.
Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating moisturizer to soothe the skin.
Always apply SPF 30+ daily, as your skin will be more susceptible to sun damage.
Expect mild redness or sensitivity, which should subside within 24-48 hours.
