Diolaze Laser Hair Removal Pre & Post Care Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure a safe and effective treatment, please follow these guidelines before your Diolaze Laser Hair Removal session:

  • Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure & tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. Always wear SPF 30+.
  • Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, and exfoliating products on the treatment area 5-7 days before treatment.
  • Do not use antibiotics, Accutane, or photosensitive medications for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Stay hydrated and keep the skin moisturized for better results.
  • Let us know if you have a history of cold sores, recent Botox or filler treatments, or any skin sensitivities.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Your skin may be sensitive after treatment. Follow these aftercare steps for optimal results:

  • No sun exposure or tanning for at least 2 weeks post-treatment. Always apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, pools, and excessive sweating for 24-48 hours to prevent irritation.
  • Do not exfoliate, wax, tweeze, or use harsh products on the treated area for at least 1 week.
  • Mild redness, swelling, or a "sunburn" feeling is normal and should subside within a few hours to a few days. Apply a cool compress if needed.
  • Shedding of treated hair may occur 1-3 weeks post-treatment—this is normal. Gently exfoliate after 5-7 days to speed up shedding.

When to Expect Results: Stay on schedule! Laser hair removal works best with a series of treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart, depending on the area, so we can get the hair at specific cycles of growth.
