Morpheus8, RF Microneedling Pre & Post Care Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the best results from your Morpheus8 RF Microneedling treatment, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines:

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 1-2 weeks prior to your treatment to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation and irritation.
  • Make sure you have not had Botox or Filler at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment to reduce the risk of migration or tissue changes.
  • Discontinue the use of any active skincare products (such as retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, or exfoliating products) for 5-7 days before your appointment.
  • Avoid waxing or plucking the treatment area for at least 1-2 weeks before your procedure. Shaving is acceptable.
  • Do not schedule any other facial treatments (such as chemical peels, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion) 1-2 weeks before your Morpheus8 session.
  • Arrive with clean skin—make sure there is no makeup, lotions, or sunscreen on the treatment area before your session.
  • Hydrate your skin by drinking plenty of water leading up to your treatment to promote a smoother healing process.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea), please inform your provider beforehand.
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for 48 hours before your appointment, unless directed otherwise by your doctor.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

After your Morpheus8 RF Microneedling treatment, follow these post-care guidelines to ensure optimal healing and results:

  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks after the treatment. Always apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ or higher to protect the treated area.
  • Do not apply makeup for 24-48 hours after your session to prevent irritation and allow the skin to heal.
  • Avoid harsh skincare products (such as AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, and exfoliants) for 5-7 days after the treatment to prevent skin irritation.
  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense physical activity for 48 hours after the procedure to minimize irritation and inflammation.
  • Avoid picking or scratching the treated area to prevent infection and scarring.
  • Mild redness and swelling are common and should subside within 24-48 hours.
  • Apply a soothing, hydrating moisturizer as recommended by your provider to help soothe the skin and aid in recovery.
  • Some mild peeling or flaking may occur as the skin heals and regenerates over the following days. This is completely normal and typically lasts around 3-5 days.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to support the healing process.
  • Reschedule your follow-up treatment as recommended by your provider to achieve optimal results. Typically, a series of treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended.

Note: Morpheus8 RF Microneedling combines the benefits of microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production, tighten skin, and improve texture. Full results will appear gradually over 3-6 months as your skin continues to regenerate. A series of treatments may be necessary for optimal outcomes and maintenance therapy is recommended annually.
