Neurotoxin Pre & Post Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the best results and minimize side effects, please follow these guidelines before your neurotoxin appointment.

  • Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol) for 3–5 days before treatment to reduce bruising.
  • Hydrate well and eat a small meal before your appointment to prevent lightheadedness.
  • Inform us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of neurologic disorders, or have had previous reactions to neurotoxins.
  • Avoid major dental work, vaccinations, or other facial treatments (like microneedling or facials) within 2 weeks before and after your treatment.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To optimize your results and reduce the risk of complications, follow these aftercare guidelines. Proper aftercare is crucial for healing and optimal results.

  • Do not rub, touch, or massage the treated area for 24 hours to prevent toxin migration.
  • Avoid laying down or bending over excessively for 4 hours after treatment.
  • No strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas, or hot tubs for 24 hours to prevent increased swelling or bruising.
  • Mild bruising or swelling is normal — apply a cold compress if needed.
  • Make facial expressions! Gently moving the treated muscles may help the neurotoxin take effect faster.
  • Results appear within 3–7 days, with full effects in 10–14 days. A touch-up may be needed after 2 weeks.
