PRP Filler
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure the best results from your PRP Filler treatment, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines:
Avoid alcohol for at least 24-48 hours before your procedure, as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.
Avoid blood-thinning medications (like aspirin, ibuprofen, or certain supplements such as fish oil and vitamin E) for 7 days before the treatment, unless otherwise directed by your provider.
Discontinue the use of any active skincare products (such as retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, or exfoliating products) for 5-7 days before your appointment to avoid skin irritation.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 1-2 weeks prior to your session to minimize pigmentation risk.
Hydrate well—drink plenty of water leading up to your treatment, as staying hydrated supports the PRP process and skin health.
Eat a healthy, balanced meal before your procedure to ensure you are in optimal condition for the treatment.
Arrive makeup-free—please cleanse the treatment area of any makeup, lotions, or skincare products before your appointment.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active skin infections, please inform your provider beforehand, as PRP therapy may not be suitable for you.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
After your PRP Filler treatment, following proper aftercare will help ensure optimal healing and results:
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.
Avoid intense physical activity and heavy exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment to prevent excessive swelling or bruising.
Do not apply makeup for 24 hours to the treated area to allow the skin to heal and absorb the PRP effectively.
Avoid sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks after treatment, and always use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ or higher on the treated areas.
Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for 24 hours to prevent infection or displacement of the filler.
Mild swelling, redness, or bruising is common immediately following the procedure and should subside within 2-3 days.
Apply ice or a cold compress to the treated area if you experience significant swelling or discomfort (for 10-15 minutes at a time).
Hydrate and maintain a healthy diet to support healing.
Continue a gentle skincare routine—you may resume using your regular skincare products 24-48 hours after treatment, but avoid any harsh or exfoliating products for 3-5 days.
Avoid facial treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments for 1-2 weeks after your procedure to ensure proper healing.
Follow up with your provider for any necessary check-ups or touch-ups, as PRP results can take 3-6 weeks to fully manifest.
Note: PRP Filler uses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to naturally fill and rejuvenate areas of the face, providing a more youthful appearance. Full results typically develop over 4-6 weeks, as the PRP stimulates collagen production and tissue regeneration.
