3 Step ZO Chemical Peel

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

To prepare your skin and ensure the best results, follow these guidelines before your chemical peel:

  • Avoid sun exposure & tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.

  • Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, acids (AHAs/BHAs), and acne medications (like tretinoin or benzoyl peroxide) for 5-7 days prior. It is important that you have been on a Retinoid for at least 6 weeks prior to this treatment. Please let your provider know if you have not.

  • Stay hydrated and maintain a gentle skincare routine leading up to your appointment.

  • Do not wax, shave, or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least 48 hours before the peel.

  • Inform us if you have a history of cold sores—an antiviral medication may be recommended to prevent flare-ups.

  • Avoid facial treatments, laser, or injectables for at least 2 weeks before your chemical peel.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not pick, peel, or rub your skin—let the exfoliation happen naturally.

  • Avoid sun exposure and always wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to protect new skin.

  • No excessive sweating, saunas, or hot tubs for 48 hours to prevent irritation.

  • Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and exfoliants) for 5-7 days post-treatment.

  • Moisturize frequently with a gentle, hydrating product to support the healing process.

  • Mild redness, tightness, and peeling may occur for 3-7 days—this is normal.

  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours post-peel to allow the skin to breathe.

Proper aftercare is crucial for healing and optimal results. Follow these steps:
