3 Step ZO Chemical Peel
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
To prepare your skin and ensure the best results, follow these guidelines before your chemical peel:
Avoid sun exposure & tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, acids (AHAs/BHAs), and acne medications (like tretinoin or benzoyl peroxide) for 5-7 days prior. It is important that you have been on a Retinoid for at least 6 weeks prior to this treatment. Please let your provider know if you have not.
Stay hydrated and maintain a gentle skincare routine leading up to your appointment.
Do not wax, shave, or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least 48 hours before the peel.
Inform us if you have a history of cold sores—an antiviral medication may be recommended to prevent flare-ups.
Avoid facial treatments, laser, or injectables for at least 2 weeks before your chemical peel.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Do not pick, peel, or rub your skin—let the exfoliation happen naturally.
Avoid sun exposure and always wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to protect new skin.
No excessive sweating, saunas, or hot tubs for 48 hours to prevent irritation.
Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and exfoliants) for 5-7 days post-treatment.
Moisturize frequently with a gentle, hydrating product to support the healing process.
Mild redness, tightness, and peeling may occur for 3-7 days—this is normal.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours post-peel to allow the skin to breathe.
Proper aftercare is crucial for healing and optimal results. Follow these steps:
