Sculptra
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure the best results from your Sculptra treatment, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines:
Avoid blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or certain supplements like fish oil and vitamin E) for 5-7 days before your treatment to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling, unless otherwise directed by your provider.
Avoid alcohol for at least 24-48 hours before your session to reduce the chance of bruising and swelling.
Avoid tanning (including tanning beds and sun exposure) for at least 1-2 weeks before your procedure to minimize skin irritation and the risk of pigmentation issues.
Arrive with clean skin—please remove any makeup, skincare products, and sunscreen from the treatment area before your appointment.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active skin infections, please inform your provider, as these may be contraindications for treatment.
Notify your provider if you are on any medications or have any conditions that might affect healing or require special consideration during the treatment (such as autoimmune diseases or blood disorders).
Hydrate well before your appointment by drinking plenty of water to support the healing process and skin health.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
After your Sculptra treatment, following these aftercare guidelines will help achieve the best results:
Avoid sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks after your treatment. Always use broad-spectrum SPF 30+, we recommend ZO medical grade suncreen to protect our skin when going outside to protect the treated areas.
Avoid vigorous exercise or intense physical activity for 24-48 hours after the treatment to reduce swelling and bruising.
Avoid alcohol for 24-48 hours after your procedure to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.
Do not massage or press the treated areas for 24-48 hours unless instructed by your provider.
Avoid facial treatments (such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other lasers) for 2 weeks after your treatment.
Gentle massage will be recommended for the treated areas in the days following your treatment to help distribute the product evenly and reduce swelling. Follow your provider’s instructions carefully.
Mild swelling, redness, or bruising is common and should subside within 2-3 days. If swelling persists longer, you may apply ice packs to the treated areas for 10-15 minutes at a time.
Continue to hydrate by drinking plenty of water to support the regeneration of collagen and tissue repair.
Expect gradual results—Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production over time. Full results may take 3-6 months to appear, as the collagen builds up and restores volume in the treated areas.
Follow-up appointments may be required to achieve optimal results. Typically, a series of 2-3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended for the best outcome.
Note: Sculptra stimulates collagen production and helps restore facial volume and smoothness over time. Multiple treatments may be needed to achieve your desired results, and the benefits can last up to 2 years.
